SOLSTICE! is an original artwork exploring the sacred balance point of the year — where light and dark speak to one another across hemispheres.
At its heart stands Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life, its roots and branches forming a living axis mundi. Through them, Yule and Litha are connected — winter and summer, North and South, descent and ascent — reminding us that opposites are not separate, but intertwined.
Rendered in ink with subtle watercolour accents, this piece honours the solstice as a moment of alignment rather than opposition: when what is growing and what is resting are equally sacred.
